In case you missed it, I had the opportunity to chat this past Saturday morning with Karen Hepp on FOX29 Weekend about the latest buzz worthy, mystique-y, minimalistic, ad-free social network, Ello.
If you happen to be one of those people who are not letting heart likes, retweets and followers decide your self-worth or whether or not it’s going to be a good day; if you loathe the fact that after you Google the hottest trends in fall fashion and then see ads for what you just searched for in your Facebook feed; if you’re not a collector of ‘friends’, but simply want to connect with only the people of your explicit choosing; if you understand inherently that there are no doctors sitting around a conference room table waiting for a million ‘Likes’ before answering a parent’s plea for a heart transplant for their child; if you want to simply get away from it all… kind of like people who move to a remote desert oasis to disappear and drop out; if you are looking to minimize the noise in your life in an intelligent, civilized way that feels kind of cool – do check out Ello… it’s pretty mellow.
Don’t get me wrong – not giving up Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or anything else anytime soon… I love it and my friends there way too much! However, Ello is where I’ll go to see if I can channel my more quiet, artistic, mysteriously scribey side.
Thanks for stopping by,
